Mobena next generation EV charging

OUR STORY

RELEASE OF UNPRECEDENTED INNOVATIVE CHARGING SYSTEMS AT EVS32.

The VEDECOM Institute showcases several innovations:

  • A full dynamic induction recharge system comprising two coils: an innovative system able to power a vehicle like the Zoé and manage contactless communications between the vehicle and the road.
  • A “Plug and Charge” demonstration presented jointly on Renault stand. Ultimately, the vehicle will be automatically recognised by the bollard, which is thus able to manage identification, authorisation, charging and paying processes with the different interlocutors, for a simplified user experience.
  • A bidirectional home charging also presented on Renault stand. It allows EV to return the energy stored in their batteries to the electric network, and to better regulate the charge. The vehicles are equipped with embedded bi-directional chargers coupled to a software component developed by the VEDECOM Institute in partnership with Trialog, which provides communication between the vehicle and the bollard. The communication between vehicle and terminal is provided by a software brick that was developed by VEDECOM in compliance with the ISO 15118 standard.
