By uniting stakeholders across the charging ecosystem’s value chain, Mobena-X offers access to a select group of partners dedicated to developing interoperable solutions. The consortium includes 15 operational partners, such as EV and charging station manufacturers, CPOs, eMSPs, PKI providers, roaming operators, energy experts, and technology suppliers. This smooth coordination within the ecosystem facilitates the harmonized deployment of high-value-added smart charging services across Europe.

Mobena-X is also actively involved in several organizations, including EU DG MOVE/DG ENER STF, CharIN, OCA, Think Smartgrids, AVERE, UFE, GIMELEC, and ISO/IEC, AFIREV, CSIAM, MEDEE, PFA, Sigeif.

RESEARCH & INNOVATION

  • Name: Vedecom
  • Description: Vedecom was created in February 2014 and is an Institute for Energy Transition (ITE) established as part of the French government’s ‘Investment for the future plan’ (Programme d’Investissements d’Avenir or PIA). The Institute is dedicated to sustainable and innovative mobility, more environmentally-friendly, autonomous and with improved sharing. Based on an unprecedented collaboration of more than 50 players, it gathers academic establishments, local authorities and private actors involved in mobility evolution: automotive, transport and mobility, logistics, road infrastructure, telecommunications, energy, aeronautics and defence, digital services and simulation, insurance.

We are actively involved in Plug & Charge technology as a Mobena consortium partner, working to enhance seamless user experiences. Our EV24 user support service offers round-the-clock assistance to drivers, while our services, including CPO, eMSP, Smart-Charging, and Flexee, ensure efficient management of charging stations and electric vehicle fleets. Additionally, we collaborate closely with energy power companies to drive innovation in the eMobility sector.

  • Name: Transpolis
  • Description: Transpolis is a unique test center for innovation and development in the field of safe and sustainable vehicles and infrastructures. Our 200 hectares of state-of-the-art testing facilities are located in the crossroad of Europe, close to Lyon in France. As a Technical Service for the French State, ISO 17025 accredited by COFRAC, Transpolis provides approval for a large scope of regulations. The vehicle testing lab supports customers from development with a strong ADAS expertise, to validation of Euro NCAP protocols for passenger cars, vans and trucks. Transpolis Road infrastructure laboratory is also accredited ISO 17025 and our scope covers international standards (EN 1317, MASH, ISO 22343). We perform real crash tests to evaluate the safety devices and we support our customers with virtual testing. Transpolis also manufactures and sales the APTS : a unique sensor which evaluates the pressure applied by the safety belt on the abdominal and pelvic region during a crash-test. Innovative projects are welcome by hosting research demonstrators and experiments: partnership projects with academic research and industrial on different topics such as Energy and carbon free mobility, C-ITS & Cybersecurity.

  • Name: PFA
  • Description: The PFA brings together the automotive industry in France. It is responsible for defining and implementing the industry’s strategy in terms of innovation, competitiveness, employment and skills, and for conveying the industry’s voice. Since 4 December 2017, the PFA has been chaired by Luc Chatel and its governance is based on a Council of Presidents made up of the heads of French carmakers and equipment manufacturers (RENAULT, STELLANTIS, VALEO, FORVIA, MICHELIN, PLASTIC OMNIUM), and federations (CCFA, FIEV, FFC, FIM, GPA, SNCP).

  • Name: CSIAM
  • Description: Created in September 1921, the Chambre Syndicale Internationale de l’Automobile et du Motocycle (CSIAM) represents international manufacturers in France in the fields of motorised two-wheelers, light vehicles and industrial vehicles (trucks, buses, coaches). With 85 member brands, it covers more than 60% of national registrations, playing a key role in the French automotive industry.

  • Name: Avere
  • Description: A centre for information, exchange and expertise, Avere-France is a national association set up in 1978 at the instigation of the European Commission. Its mission is to encourage and promote the acquisition and use of electric and hybrid vehicles, in particular by stimulating and supporting the deployment of electric mobility among local authorities and businesses. It brings together the players in the electric mobility ecosystem: vehicle manufacturers, charging operators and mobility operators, equipment manufacturers, manufacturers of recharging solutions, energy suppliers, installers, maintainers, electric vehicle users, consultancies and lawyers, local authorities (energy syndicate, AODE, metropolis, conurbation), insurance companies, banks, associations, and research organisations.

INFRASTRUCTURE

  • Name: Gimelec
  • Description:GIMELEC brings together companies in the French electronic and digital sector. Our 210 members design, manufacture and deploy solutions for the electrification, decarbonisation and digital intelligence of industry, buildings and energy and digital infrastructures.

  • Name: Sigeif
  • Description: Sigeif Mobilités is a semi-public company set up by Sigeif, Caisse des Dépôts and the Region to develop clean mobility in the IDF. It builds clean mobility infrastructures in the Ile-de-France region.

ENERGY

  • Name: Think smartgrids
  • Description: Established in April 2015, Think Smartgrids aims to develop the smart grids sector in France and to promote French solutions in Europe and around the world. With the objective of creating a “French Team” for smart grids, the professional association Think Smartgrids supports the development of the smart grids sector in France and develops international collaborations. Think Smartgrids association was created in response to the smart grids roadmap for a New Industrial France called for by the French government and presented on May 7th 2014 to the then President of the Republic, François Hollande, by Dominique Maillard (then Chairman of the French TSO RTE and leader of the “Smart Grid” plan).

  • Name: Medee
  • Description: Since 2010, MEDEE – Motors and Electrical Devices for Energy Efficiency – brings together companies and academics around collaborative Research & Development & Innovation (R&D&I) projects. Based in Lille, MEDEE federates a community of actors specialized in electrical engineering: multinational companies, innovative SMEs, start-ups, laboratories, and universities. The Cluster MEDEE R&D&I topics are related to several sectors and target markets: industrial processes energy efficiency, electricity generation from renewable sources, Smart Transmission System, and transportation (rail, More Electric Aircraft, electrical vehicle…).

  • Description: The Union of the French Electricity Industry is the trade association of the French electricity sector. We represent companies from the whole value chain of the electricity industry: producers, transmission and distribution system operators, suppliers of electricity and energy efficiency services. We bring together more than 500 companies, gathering more than 300 000 direct and indirect jobs. UFE is a French and European actor of major importance, committed to the fight against climate change.
